Daily Social Media Checklist

Daily Social Media Checklist

Social media managers probably have one of the best jobs simply because they get an opportunity to engage with others and share helpful content on a daily basis.

However, as much fun as it is, it can also be a struggle and time consuming, especially if it is not carefully coordinated and executed.

A social media manager’s to-do list will vary depending on whether they are full-time managers or part-time.  In addition, time spent on social media will vary depending on the number of platforms as well as the number of items on the daily checklist. Some managers prefer or work well with simple and less complicated checklists while others operate a detailed one.

There’s absolutely no one-size-fits-all checklist but most of the activities are equally important and hence cut across.

The constant hopping from one social media platform to another can sometimes be a daunting task, but if carefully planned, it can transform into a well-oiled routine – one that gets you results and drives up your engagement with your customer.

Here is a simple 5 step checklist to follow daily

DAILY SOCIAL MEDIA CHECKLIST

Daily social media checklist:

  • Respond to all incoming messages

It is polite to respond to messages and provides an opportunity to build rapport with your audience

  • Monitor and respond to brand mentions

Puts you in a better position to know as early as possible if negative comments are posted

  • Engage with brand advocates and potential customers

Try to reach out to at least 1 new person each day

  • Curate content to share and add to social media schedule

Plan some content ahead of time so that you have something to share each day

  • Check scheduled posts for the next day

Is the text free of spelling errors?

Does the image match the text?

Tip: Consistency is key

Following a simple daily checklist will ensure that you are consistent in your social media efforts which will go a long way in building your social following and engagement with your audience.
